Kilowog and Kim Possible

A to Z Challenge – SUPER cross stitch

K is for Kilowog

Kilowog is from weelittlestitches’ superhero alphabet sampler.

Hey poozers, it’s Kilowog! He’s a member of the Green Lantern Corps – the primary trainer of the Corps’ newest recruits.

He actually acted as the first trainer to a young Hal Jordan.

He’s always seemed to be a tough guy, but Kilowog definitely has a soft center when it comes to his friends and the Corps – he’s molding the future of the Corps, training the new recruits.

Kilowog appears in Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. He appears in the television series Batman: The Brave and the Bold. He is a main character in the short-lived Green Lantern: The Animated Series.

Kilowog also appears in the DC original animated films Green Lantern: First Flight and Green Lantern: Emerald Knights.

K is for Kim Possible

Kim Possible is from fangirl stitches’ girl power superhero comic book alphabet.

Call her, beep her, if ya wanna reach her – Kim Possible is a teenage crime-fighter, dealing with school, family, and saving the world.

I loved Kim Possible – she was a teenager when I was a teenager. Her animated series was light-hearted and action-oriented, and she was living the life of a teenage (secret) agent.

Her villains were spastic and hilarious – another nod to the spy genre.

She and her clumsy but lovable sidekick, Ron Stoppable, fought various antagonists throughout the series’ run, but most often they tangled with Doctor Drakken and his henchwoman Shego.

Shego was a worthy adversary against Kim, but Drakken was more bumbling scientist than a physical threat.

Kim Possible was the second animated Disney Channel original series, broadcasting from 2002 to 2007 with four seasons and two feature films.

Kilowog is one of my favourite Green Lanters, with good reason I guess.
Kim Possible, I didn’t know there were feature films, but then I never watched her that much. Around that time, I was only watching cartoons if my kids were watching cartoons.
